  does warm up exercises, helps other students and coach, does not tease other students, puts equipment back where it belongs always skis with a partner, dresses in layers knows different type of ski equipment- boots, skis and poles, knows how to identify right from left 3 pin skis able to side step up a hill, kick turn, snow plow, herring bone on both types of skis, classic stride without poles, diagonal stride with poles, freestyle skate without poles, then 2 step skate with double pole ,enters tuck position going down a hill able to ski yellow loop without falling, comes to practice at least 2 times a week,. able to ski 10km in a day by the end of season Level 1 Certificate
Intermediate Classic and Free style          
  helps other students with skis, boots and poles, reports any ski doers on the trail, returns all equipment to the appropriate spot knows how to scrape and cork the "kick zone, knows how to scrape and iron wax on the "glide zone" can identity different types of bindings, boots, and cross country skis, helps others scrape and wax their skies, knows safety equipment that should be carried in a ski pack able to demonstrate the following skills: double pole diagonal stride, double pole two step, step turn left and right, diagonal pole up hill. records distances skied on a daily basis, able to classic or skate yellow, red, and blue loop without stopping(10km), able to ski 100 km in a season, comes to weekend practices Level 2 certificate,
Passport to loppet program, Able to go to races.
Advanced          
  wants to improve on technique and skills every practice, If racing wants to improve on Personal Best Time , helps fund raise, helps groom ski trails remembers the slogan "safety first" when skiing, knows how to teach levels 1-4 of the jack rabbit program , records distances and time skied on a daily basis able to demonstrate the following skills: up hill diagonal stride, one step double pole, off set double pole , step turn down a hill, follows the ABC’s of correcting their technique. Coaching Assistant, attends all required race meets, knows how to visualize a race, follows a dry land training schedule Trophy for skiing 20k in a loppet event
